Take a safari to a land of deserts, savannas, and woodlands—southern Africa's Botswana. Still a land of immense concentrations of wildlife, this country of many ecosystems yields animals as diverse as Nile crocodiles and cheetahs, bounding impalas and lumbering hippos, sticky-tongued aardvarks and sharp-tusked warthogs.

Within Botswana: Safari to Wild Africa is the Museum's largest wildlife exhibit. Set at the Savuti Crossroads, it depicts a menagerie of animals gathering at a small water hole during the dry season. For many visitors, this sweeping scene may be their closest view of Botswana's starkly beautiful landscape.
