Family Explorations With Naturalist-Educator Laura Arndt

  • Making Sense of Your Senses
People depend mostly on their sight to explore the world. Fish, butterflies, snakes, and other animals have developed the use of other senses to find what they need to survive. On this field trip to Franktown, you and your child can practice using touch, smell, taste, vibration, and sight through a series of fun activities, including taste tests and
a camouflaged egg hunt. Then head outside to see what animals can be found using all of the senses.
