This exhibit uses the latest technology to introduce Museum visitors to the natural settings and wildlife in Colorado. The exhibit contains eight scenes of the state's diverse ecosystems (and one from Arizona), as well as interactive videos and "discovery boxes" that allow visitors to explore dioramas and Colorado's biological diversity in-depth. The programs are captioned for the hearing impaired and include topics such as animal families, sights and sounds, and build your own ecosystem. There's also predator-prey games, "flippin'" lizards, and Colorado weather patterns. Along the front of each exhibit, illustrated identifications of plants and animals tell visitors what they are seeing in that particular ecosystem. Click here for a note on the dioramas and the specimens in them. |
