 Tiny fossils such as this Lysorophid amphibian can take much
longer to prepare than bigger fossils. Using a pin vise and a
microscope, Museum volunteer Sharon Hannu removed the matrix one grain of
sand at a time. In the center of the picture is the amphibian's skull,
and if you look closely, you can see its teeth.
