Sexual dimorphism
Sexual dimorphism exists in both humans and ammonites, but while human males are typically larger, male ammonite fossils are much smaller than females. Here, a small human female (Beth Kaminsky) poses with a small male ammonite, and a big human male (Alaskan artist Ray Troll) poses with a big female ammonite.
