Pterosaur

This flattened pterosaur skeleton was collected in the chalk beds of eastern Kansas.

This pterosaur on display in Prehistoric Journey was collected in the Pierre Shale in Wyoming. These flying reptiles had lifestyles like modern pelicans, soaring over saltwater looking for an easy fish dinner. (Image courtesy of Donna Braginetz.)
