Vice President of Information Technology
Dave Noel is vice president of information technology and chief
information officer at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science,
where he is responsible for the support and planning of Museum
technology infrastructure, systems, software development, exhibit
technology, and planetarium operations. Noel joined the Museum in
2004, bringing 30 years of professional experience in strategic
planning, executive business management, product planning and
development, and geoscience engineering. Noel received his B.S. in
electrical engineering and computer science from the University of
Kansas.
Before joining the Museum, Noel was president of petroWEB Inc.,
a technology development company serving the petroleum and GIS
industries. Prior to petroWEB, he was president and CEO of IHS
Energy Group, a $125 million commercial data and information
company serving the global petroleum and geoscience exploration
industry; the CTO for IHS Energy and a number of predecessor
companies; as well as engineering positions within the petroleum
industry.
